Do You Need a Visa to Visit The Netherlands?
If you need a visa to attend TMA in the Netherlands, please select that you need a Visa Support Letter in the registration form. You need not do anything else to request a support letter for your visa; simply register for the conference, select that you need a support letter, and we will send you a support letter as soon as possible.
The Netherlands is part of the Schengen Area, and travelers from non-Schengen countries must apply for a Schengen visa if required. Visa applicants should apply to the country of their main destination, i.e., where they will spend the most days. If your stay is equally divided between multiple Schengen countries, you must apply to the country of first entry.
If you are a non-EU citizen and plan to attend TMA 2026 in the Netherlands, you may need a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C), unless your country has a visa waiver agreement with the EU.
If you are a family member of an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen who is exercising their right to free movement, or a UK national covered under the Withdrawal Agreement, your visa application must be processed according to EU rules, which may offer certain advantages such as expedited processing.
Some nationalities are subject to mandatory consultation during visa processing, which may extend the timeline.
Please note: a Schengen visa does not allow you to reside, work, or study in the Netherlands. It is intended only for short visits such as tourism, business meetings, and conferences.
