We are very excited to announce the third edition of the new Network Traffic Measurement and Analysis Conference (TMA Conference 2019). The second edition took place in Vienna, Austria, in 2018 and the first edition in Dublin, Ireland, in 2017.

TMA Conference is a highly selective venue for the presentation of both early-stage and mature research as well as controversial work on all the aspects of network measurements. The focus is on improving the practice or application of measurements, across the entire network stack up to the application layer, with an emphasis on new areas of network communication such as Software-Defined Networks, Cloud services, Content Distribution Networks, Social Networks, mobile applications and data centers. We also welcome more traditional measurement topics, such as traffic classification, anomaly detection, network performance evaluation and traffic analysis.

The Conference maintains its tradition of open and lively interaction between scientists and engineers in academia and industry and serves as a premier forum to exchange ideas, present new results and advance the state-of-the-art.

TMA Conference 2019 runs three additional events within its main program, including a full-day TMA Experts Summit, a Special Session on Hands-on Network Traffic Measurement and Analysis, and a Demo Session. The TMA Experts Summit will consist of invited talks and panels from top experts, covering hot topics linked to TMA during a full day.

TMA Conference 2019 is co-located with the traditional TMA PhD School, started back in 2010 and recognized as the most important PhD school in network measurement and analysis topics. The TMA PhD school hosts more than 50 PhD students who are interested in TMA topics, and will bring a vivid contribution to the audience. Students will present their research work in a poster session.

TMA Conference 2019 will present three different awards to the best contributions, including a best paper award, a best open dataset award and a best demo award. Awards consist of both a recognition and a certificate presented at the closing ceremony, as well as a monetary prize. Authors of selected top TMA 2019 papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper to IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (Impact Factor 3.286) for fast-track processing.
